This is the Interiors 1900 Kutani Birds & Peony Table Lamp Complete With Zara 20" Honey Silk Shade.
Table Lamp - A hand thrown and hand-painted Kutani lamp exquisitely decorated with birds and peonies. This lamp is beautifully detailed with a multitude of colours and real gold accents. Fitted on a mahogany wooden base and finished with an undyed crackle glaze.
Shade - Rochamp Zara shade which is amongst the best on the market for quality and finish. A 20 inch bowed tapered cylindrical shade in a honey silk fabric.
Kutani History - Kutani porcelain is named after a village in Japan where traditional skills of potting and painting originated nearly 400 years ago and continues to this day. This cottage industry uses these skills to produce our unique lamp bases in stunning colours and designs, meaning Kutani lamps will undoubtedly be the antiques of the future. Special stone is quarried for the porcelain at Hanasaka and followed by fourteen different processes, from forming on the potter’s wheel to hand painting and final firing in gold.
Final assembly is completed to the highest standards in the UK using traditional wooden bases and brass fittings.
Sadly the production of Kutani is in decline. As the craftsmen and women retire, few young people take up the skills required. Interiors 1900 has played an important part in supporting this craft for the past 20 years, and we are pleased to be able to offer you the opportunity to own a unique piece of this rare art.

We advise you book a qualified electrician to fit the lights once the goods have been received and not prior to this. We cannot be held responsible for any charges from electricians if goods arrive later than expected.
If you are undecided on a product and wish to see it first, please contact us BEFORE placing your order. We will check stock availability and we will put a note on your order that it might be returned.
If you decide to cancel and return any goods, then you should put this in writing, either by letter (proof of posting or recorded delivery is advisable) or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org. A telephone call is not sufficient. You must notify us in writing first before returning any goods.
Your right to cancel
Your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.
You must take care of the goods whilst they are in your possession.
If you decide to cancel and return the goods within these time limits, and the goods are returned as new, your payment will be refunded within 14 days. The cost of postage back to our manufacturer or Oberoi Brothers is your cost and will not be paid by Oberoi Brothers.
We accept unused and unfitted boxed returns for exchange or refund within 14 days. Faulty returns must be sent back for inspection, either to our manufacturer or Oberoi Brothers. We will inform you at the time. If found to have a manufacturing defect you will be offered a refund or exchange. Goods must be adequately sealed in all the original packaging, including the outer. Please note that Royal Mail may reject any package that is not adequately wrapped. All information regarding your purchase was sent to the email address you supplied whilst placing your order. If using any address label please attach securely to the package. Please ensure you ask for a certificate of posting from the Post Office as proof you have sent the package. (The Post Office do not charge for issuing these certificates).
